Are you looking for a massage to help with your disability?
If you or a loved one has a physical or developmental disability, massage therapy could be the answer to improve the quality of life and well-being.
Massage has been proven to reduce symptoms of tremors, spasticity, rigidity of muscles and uncoordinated movements as well as pain and stiffness of muscles throughout the body that is experienced in conditions such as MS and Parkinson’s.
Do you have a child with sensory needs such as Autism?
There is scientific evidence to show massage therapy reduces anxiety, improved sleep and social communication in autistic children. It also improves attention spans and calms muscle spasms.
A scientific study can be viewed here https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34141309/
If your child struggles with touch due to sensory overload, I can teach you techniques to gradual introduce touch and bonding from touch.
My aim is to provide a positive and healing touch to anyone with a disability.
What to expect...
The first visit is a meet and greet session where we complete a thorough consultation process.
I want to know all about you! Who you are as a person, what life was like before your disability and how it is effecting your life now.
We include the therapy treatment which will be suited to your pain issues.
For example, if you are paralysed and no use of your left side, we would use physical therapy stretching, heat therapy and massage techniques to increase the circulation to the area and release any stiff joints from being in one position.
At the end, we discuss the best course of action and put together a care plan and track your progress.
We arrange the follow on sessions at your convenience.
